you hurt me…every lie that slithered out of your lips every time you spoke.
you hurt me…every time you played my heart like i was just a joke.
you hurt me…every empty promise that you made.
you hurt me…every stupid fucked up game that with my mind you played.
you hurt me…every time you held up another hoop for me to jump through.
you hurt me…every time you said I LOVE YOU.
you hurt me…every time you’d go away.
you hurt me…every minute every day.
you hurt me…every time you made me feel i was to blame
you hurt me…every chance with no fucking shame.
you hurt me…you crushed me…you killed me……..
but I continue to let you, so I’m taking the power back, opening my eyes, holding my head high, and I’m done with hurting myself.
